My RV Build

Order is a wonderful thing. That said, some of these images are in no particular order.

It has gotten better. This is the build-out of my 2020 Chevy Express 2500 Extended WB cargo van. The living area is about 63 Sq.ft. It is insulated all around, has vinyl plank flooring, and pine, beadboard cabinets, and 39″ single couch/bed, and a Maxair fan in the ceiling. The desk is across from the bed at the rear of the van with a keyboard drawer and will house my computer below with the electrics and a 24″ monitor in the space above the keyboard drawer.

It has 200 watts of solar on the roof to start, and in the electrical compartment below the desk a 100AH LiFePO4 battery, a 30 amp Charge Controller, a 1500 watt 110v inverter, and a 12v fuse box.

The little “jueye” (land crab) in one of the frames was knocking on my door one morning wanting to have his/her picture taken, so I accommodated it. By the time I got back outside, it was in front of my neighbor’s condo. I took several headshots for his/her talent agent and it then scurried back to the lagoon behind the condo. They were all over the lagoon areas in Vieques, but this was the first one I’d ever seen in my 23 years in Florida. I must live a sheltered life. 😉

You may notice some changes, like the bed went from being across the back to being on one side, and maybe a few other changes, but I am now down to my construction “punch list” and the final tweaking and expect now to begin my journey January 20th.
